Spiritual Hypnosis

Hypnotherapy is not the hypnosis you see on TV or in Lounge Acts!!!

Hypnosis is an easy way to shorten the time it takes to stop old habits and create new ways to do life by tapping into the unconscious mind. Using hypnosis can calm the mind and body so you can access the power of the unconscious mind and produce positive changes in you life and improve you health. Hypnosis is a natural state that most people enter regularly during the day.

No one will make you bark like a dog or quack like duck!

Important questions about Hypnosis

Many people have strong misconceptions about hypnosis because all they know about it is what they have seen on TV or in a stage show. Here I answer some of the questions people often have:

1. What does it feel like to be hypnotized?

During hypnosis you are relaxed and aware of everything that happens, in fact you may feel a sense of hyper-awareness and you hear everything around you. Some people describe it as an intense feeling of refreshing calm. You will normally remember everything that happens during the session.

2. Can Hypnosis hurt me?

No. You are always in control and no one could ever make you do or say anything that you do not wish to do while you are hypnotized. If someone tried to give you a suggestion, which went against you moral beliefs, you would come out of the state of hypnosis on your own.

3. What if I don’t ever wake up?

You must give your consent to be put under hypnosis so all you have to do to “wake up” is to open your eyes and you will feel completely alert. There is no way another person could hypnotize you or keep you hypnotized against your will.

4. Is hypnosis a miracle cure?

No, Hypnosis is not a miracle cure. It is a tool to behavior modification that can be used for vocational or avocational improvement and works with the persons own internal, unconscious powers resulting in powerful lasting changes.

Being under hypnosis is like a "Mental Massage".

Many people describe being in the hypnotic state as feeling as if they are floating or just very relaxed and yet very aware of what is occurring. They report coming out of hypnosis feeling relaxed and energized at the same time as if they have had a "Mental massage"

1.  Approximately 12% of our mind is controlled by the conscious.

2.  Most people are in a state of stress and anxiety when they try to change old habits. And doubt they can do what they need to be happy and productive.

3.  Hypnosis allows us to access the other close to 88% of our mind (the unconscious), making it easier to change and easier to find out motivation to change and do it in a calm state.

Why should I consider hypnosis over other types of therapy or helping modalities?

Although hypnosis is an anchient art that has been used for centuries, it has been studied scientifically and is used by a wide spectrum of professionals in the medical and psychological field for a more rapid way to "get to the root of the issue" or promote healing both physically and mentally. In many of the hypnosis studies, 50%to 70% of the people who tried hypnosis for anything from pain management, pregnancy and birthing, pre and post surgery and dental work and other medical condsitions report that they feel better and heal faster than without hypnosis. Other studies on hypnosis have used imaging technology to look at the brain while people are "in the state of hypnosis". They have seen that the part of the brain which manages and plans thoughts,  is quiet, while the area that controls focus and attention is quite active. Psychologically this makes sense, in that the client is more open to positive suggestions for change and not hampered by the doubt, skeptisism and negativity that might block the message. This allows helpful messages to become a part of the subconscious memory, making the new behavior more "automatic"
